Key Responsibilities

1. Must be conversant with BIS, UL, IEC and other applicable industry standards and regulations.
2. Must have thorough knowledge of cable testing procedures, quality assurance systems, and laboratory practices.
3. Ensure compliance with all customer specifications, statutory requirements, and quality standards.
4. Interact effectively and professionally with customers, certification agencies, auditors, and other stakeholders.
5. Lead and manage a team responsible for testing, inspections, quality assurance, and in-process quality control activities.
6. Possess strong technical expertise in physical and electrical testing of LV, Control & Instrumentation, ABC, UL, MV and HV cables.
7. Conduct benchmarking studies and quality comparisons with competitor products to identify improvement opportunities.
8. Monitor quality performance indicators and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
9. Investigate customer complaints, quality issues, and non-conformities, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
10. Ensure calibration, maintenance, and proper utilization of testing equipment and laboratory instruments.
11. Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
12. Prepare and present quality reports, analysis, and recommendations to management.
13. Drive process improvements to enhance product quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
14. Ensure compliance with ISO and other relevant management systems.

Qualifications

• B.E./B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Additional certification in Quality Management Systems, Six Sigma, ISO Lead Auditor, or equivalent will be preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent knowledge of cable manufacturing and testing processes.
• Sound understanding of BIS, UL, IEC and other relevant standards.
