Job Title: Sr. Executive – Purchase

Key Responsibilities
Procurement Operations
- Execute purchase of raw materials such as copper, aluminum, PVC/XLPE compounds, insulation materials, steel tapes, armoring wires, packing materials, and consumables.
- Process Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and prepare Purchase Orders (POs) as per approved requirements.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate with approved vendors for quotations, order confirmations, and dispatch schedules.
- Maintain vendor master data and records.
- Assist in resolving issues related to delivery delays, shortages, or discrepancies.
Inventory & Stores Coordination
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid stock-outs or over-stocking.
- Coordinate with Stores for GRN preparation and material receipt.
- Support FIFO implementation and material traceability.
Quality & Documentation
- Ensure procured materials meet IS / IEC / ASTM standards and internal specifications.
- Coordinate with Quality department for inspection and material approval.
- Maintain purchase documentation for audits and compliance.
Cost & MIS Support
- Compare quotations and prepare comparative statements.
- Assist seniors in cost control and purchase analysis.
- Prepare daily/weekly purchase MIS reports.
Inter-Department Coordination
- Liaise with Production, PPC, Stores, Quality, and Finance teams.
- Support import purchases, if applicable (basic documentation and follow-ups).
Skills & Competencies
- Basic understanding of cable manufacturing materials and processes.
- Knowledge of Electrical Items.
- Knowledge of Mechanical Items.
- Knowledge of Job work processes.
- Strong Mathematical skills
- Flexible to Travel, Knowledge of packaging Items, like wooden drums, Pullets, Boxes etc.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualification: Diploma/Degree/B.com/BCA
- Experience: 1–3 years of purchase experience, preferably in Cable / Electrical manufacturing industry.
